Data deletion
Last updated: October 2026
1. What this page is for
Under the GDPR (Article 17) and comparable laws you can ask us to erase the personal data we hold about you, and we have to answer within one month. This page explains what that covers here, because an unlock is a payment as well as a page view: some of it can go, and some of it is a financial record we are required to keep.
2. What we delete
- The session records behind your unlocks: IP address, country, browser and device details.
- The access keys generated for those sessions, along with any reward linked to them.
- The email address attached to a session or a subscription, once the records below are settled.
- Anything you sent us through the contact form or the Discord server.
3. What we have to keep, and for how long
Payments leave a trail that tax and accounting law requires us to keep: the amount, the currency, the date, the invoice number and the last four digits of the card. Those records are kept for as long as the applicable tax law demands (typically seven to ten years, depending on the country) and are then deleted with the rest. We also keep a minimal marker of an unlock where it is needed to stop the same reward being issued twice, or to defend a chargeback; that marker holds no name, address or card data. Erasure removes everything that is not in this list.
4. If you have an active subscription
Deleting your data and cancelling a subscription are two different things, and the second has to happen first. As long as a recurring subscription is live we are obliged to keep the billing relationship, so erasing it while it is charging you would leave payments running against a record nobody can look up. In practice we cancel the subscription first, so no further payment is taken, and you keep the access you already paid for until the end of the current period. Once that period ends and the invoice record is settled, the rest of the data is deleted.
5. How to ask
Use the contact page with the subject "data deletion", and include the email address you unlocked or paid with and, if you have it, the date and the name of the server or site you were unlocking. That is enough to find the session. If the request concerns a subscription, we will confirm the cancellation in the same reply.
6. If you would rather stop the charges only
You do not need to delete anything to stop paying. The cancellation page takes an email address and sends back a list of the subscriptions we hold for that address, each with its own cancel button, and no account is needed. Cancelling stops future payments immediately; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
